Welcome
To Katie's Heavenly Llamas

Hi, I'm Kathy and I started my love of llamas in 1999 when I purchased my first llama, a yearling male that was absolutely beautiful, I now have a herd of 20 which are at Eve Ashbaugh's farm in Delaware, Ohio along with her own herd. I am so glad to have found someone who takes the best care of my llamas. I remember being so excited about the first cria to be born in my herd and I thank Eve that she was the one taking care of my girl because she delivered her cria five weeks premature and Eve saved and pulled that cria though and he is now a herdsire, siring his own babies. Because of Eve's knowledge about these wonderful animals, she has helped me to choose the best herdsires and foundation females for my breeding program for conformation, fiber, balance, stretch and wonderful dispositions. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for all that she has done for me and my llamas as well as what she has taught me about these wonderful and beautiful animals. Thank you Eve for all that you have done and I thank God that he has given you a gift for knowing when an animal is in trouble or sick and needs your special gift of healing.

I named my farm after my mother who was a great person. Mom & Dad both had a sense of humor, fun to be with and they were great teachers and caring parents. My parents adopted me when I was 8 years old so in a way I can relate to those llamas and other animals that you in the llama community try you best to rescue.

I am just now able to let everyone know that my little dog Angel is no longer with me, she was 17 years old when she passed away 2 years ago. I have pictures of her on a DVD as a memorial to her and as reminder that I was blessed to have her as a part of my life.

Before llamas I owned, showed and bred American Saddlebred horses. I fell in love with the Saddlebred because of their proud carriage and loving nature just like my llamas. One of my favorite horses was my stallion I'm A Wizard. He was really beautiful and had such a wonderful disposition.

I still work for the same hospital but I am now a Data Entry Specialist and work in the clinic area of the Health Center. I really enjoy my current position and love showing off pictures of my llamas and the new cria's to my co-workers. When they find out I own llamas they have a lot of questions about them and are surprised that llamas have a wide range of talents for various jobs and activities. Eve brought down my one very special llama, Kantu Kan Too, to meet my one co-worker that has heard so much about him that she wanted to meet him in person and she just thought he was adorable. I no longer have my camper but I still try to go down to the lake when I get a chance to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of my surroundings.

Please stop by via the website or e-mail us to see what new crias have arrived or other additions to the herd or just to visit.
